Updated terms take effect October 23, 2026. AI features will be on by default unless you opt out RudderStack Account notice ************************************************************ Updates to our Terms of Service and Data Processing Addendum ************************************************************ Updated terms take effect October 23, 2026 AI features On by default from October 23, 2026 To opt out of AI features Email support@rudderstack.com Hello, We are updating RudderStack's Terms of Service ( https://www.rudderstack.com/terms-of-service ) and Data Processing Addendum ( https://www.rudderstack.com/data-privacy-addendum/ ). The updated documents take effect for your account on October 23, 2026. AI features will be on by default. Starting October 23, 2026, RudderStack's AI features, including Rudder AI and Rudder Lookout, will be enabled for your workspaces unless you opt out. You can opt out at any time by emailing support@rudderstack.com. Opting out turns off AI features only. If you haven’t used AI features, no AI data has been collected. If you have, opting out doesn’t delete that data on its own. You can request deletion under the DPA. ------------------------ What the updates address ------------------------ AI features: how these features access workspace and warehouse data, generate results, create audiences, and send audience records to destinations you select. Data use and controls: workspace context, de-identified platform context, evaluation of redacted inputs and results, and opt-outs from evaluation and contributions to platform context. Customer Data, Prompts, and Outputs are not used to train or fine-tune models. Retention and deletion: under the updated terms, conversation history is retained until deleted under the DPA, including through your deletion controls, on request, or following workspace deletion or termination. Evaluation copies, summaries, and observability metadata have no fixed retention period, are retained for as long as needed for the stated purposes, and are deleted on request under the DPA. Subprocessors and locations: Microsoft supports embedding generation, Langfuse supports observability, and Snowflake supports product analytics. Under the updated terms, Langfuse receives masked trace metadata, and Snowflake receives usage events and aggregated summaries. Customer responsibilities and account lifecycle: permitted data categories, review of AI-generated results, control of warehouse access and audience activations, and preservation and deletion of account configurations. ---------------------------------- Accepting or declining the updates ---------------------------------- Continued use of the Services after October 23, 2026 constitutes acceptance under your existing Terms of Service. If you do not wish to accept the updates, you can cancel your subscription in your RudderStack account before October 23, 2026. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the calendar month and moves your account to a paused state, in which your configurations are preserved for one year and can be exported. To have your account and configurations deleted, send a written termination notice to legal@rudderstack.com. --------- Questions --------- For questions about AI features or opting out, contact support@rudderstack.com.
