Emre is a growth marketer, entrepreneur and product developer working where marketing meets AI. He founded Popupsmart in 2019 and is its CEO and Head of Growth, taking it to 4x MRR growth and a Product Hunt Golden Kitty finalist place in the 2021 e-commerce category. Before that he spent seven years in digital marketing and founded the Flatart agency in 2013, growing it past 30 people and consulting on growth and SEO for hundreds of brands. In 2024 he started GrowthMarketing.ai, where he writes on AI, SEO, conversion optimisation and product development.

Every email in this archive arrived because someone signed up for the product with an address belonging to the archive, waited, and let the mail come. There is no crawler here and no inbox donation: each product is a real subscription, created by hand, one at a time. That is slow, and it is the only way to be certain that what you are reading is what a real new user of that product actually received.

I run that process, and the archive that comes out of it. The emails are published as they were sent: images re-hosted so they still load in five years, tracking pixels dropped, unsubscribe and account links neutralised so that reading an archived email cannot act on anyone's behalf. Nothing is rewritten, shortened or improved, and nothing is chosen for being good — the archive is chronological and tries to be complete, which is the whole claim it makes.

The numbers on each email — its length, its links, how many buttons it carries, how heavy its images are — are counted from the email itself rather than estimated, and the medians beside them come from the rest of the archive. Where a figure would be drawn from too few emails to mean anything, the page shows nothing instead.

Popupsmart Inc builds software for marketing teams, and this archive is a micro-project of theirs rather than a product: nobody here is a full-time archivist. The editors contribute to it alongside their own work, which is also why the notes stay short and stick to what was counted — it is the part a busy person can be accountable for.

What this means for what you are reading

Every page on this site states where its numbers come from, and every email is published as it arrived. Where the archive does not know something it says nothing, rather than estimating: a figure drawn from too few emails to be meaningful is left off the page entirely. If you find something here that is wrong, it is worth telling us about — the contact routes are on the about page.
