Every webhook now tells your server who the user is and what they're paying for. Hey Emre Elbeyoglu, Jordan from Superwall here 👋 First, thank you, New York! Last week we brought spirits, jazz and a lot of paywall talk to App Week, and it was great to see so many of you at Spirits Night and the Growth Session. If you missed Jake's keynote, it hit your inbox yesterday, or you can watch it here (https://superwall.com/blog/superwall-keynote-2026-agents-run-your-monetization). As for this week, Webhooks V2 is live, the iPhone Duo gets its own paywall setting, we're hiring, and we'll see you in Toronto and Berlin. Here's what you need to know: 🪝 Webhooks V2: every event knows who your user is First up, Webhooks V2! If you've ever written a webhook handler, you know the routine. An event comes in, and your server has to call Superwall back to find out who this person is and whether they're still subscribed. V2 skips that trip. Every event now includes the subscriber's current subscription state, their aliases and the user attributes you set from the SDK. There's even a previous state, so you can see exactly what changed. You can also open any webhook to see every delivery attempt, and pause it or rotate its signing secret whenever you need to. Every new webhook uses V2. Your existing ones keep working as Legacy webhooks and are never converted, so the docs show you how to run both side by side (https://superwall.com/docs/integrations/webhooks/v2#migrating-from-legacy-webhooks) before you switch. You'll need revenue tracking set up first. 📖 Read the Webhooks V2 docs (https://superwall.com/docs/integrations/webhooks/v2) 📱 Paywalls that fit the iPhone Duo Next up, the iPhone Duo has a camera strip along one edge of its screen, and by default your paywall runs right under it, close button and all. The paywall editor now has an iPhone Duo safe area setting to fix that: - Full screen: The default, where the paywall runs under the strip. - Fill with background: The paywall stops before the strip, and the strip takes your background color. - Black edge: The paywall stops before a black strip, which works well for image backgrounds. - Full screen, env() only: It stays full screen, but CSS safe-area variables let you move just a few elements, like that close button. You don't need an SDK update for real iPhone Duo devices, and the editor has new iPhone Duo (closed) and (open) previews so you can check your layout. 💡 Tip: To test it in the iPhone Duo simulator, update to iOS SDK 4.18.1 (https://github.com/superwall/Superwall-iOS/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md) or later. Before that, the Simulator reported its model as arm64, so the setting fell back to Full screen. Now paywalls get a device.simulatorModel variable (the iPhone Duo is iPhone19,4), and it's never sent from a real device. Building paywalls in code? Branch on device.simulatorModel || device.deviceModel to handle both (https://superwall.com/docs/framework/variables). 📖 Read the iPhone Duo safe area docs (https://superwall.com/docs/dashboard/dashboard-creating-paywalls/paywall-editor-settings#iphone-duo-safe-area) 🛠️ A few smaller updates - Airbridge: Pass your Airbridge Device ID as airbridgeId in the latest iOS (https://github.com/superwall/Superwall-iOS/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md), Android (https://github.com/superwall/Superwall-Android/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md) and Expo (https://github.com/superwall/expo-superwall/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md) SDKs, then connect Airbridge (https://superwall.com/docs/integrations/airbridge) to see revenue and return on ad spend by campaign. - Expo: Customer Center comes to the Expo SDK (https://github.com/superwall/expo-superwall/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md) with one presentCustomerCenter() call, plus setAdConsent() and Teleport events on iOS. - superwall setup apple: One CLI command (https://superwall.com/docs/agents/cli#connect-an-app-to-apple) creates your App Store Connect and In-App Purchase keys and points Apple's server notifications at Superwall. - Keep RevenueCat: RevenueCat can now forward Apple's server notifications (https://superwall.com/docs/dashboard/dashboard-settings/overview-settings-revenue-tracking-revenuecat-forwarding) to Superwall, so you don't have to change anything in App Store Connect. - Web checkout docs: Every web checkout guide (https://superwall.com/docs/web-checkout) now has iOS, Android, Flutter and Expo code, plus a Teleport vs. App2Web table. - Meta Ads: Point your ads at a dedicated Custom Product Page (https://superwall.com/docs/integrations/meta-ads#send-your-ads-to-a-dedicated-custom-product-page) to get an independent install count to check your match rate against. 📣 We're hiring an Account Manager More than 12,000 apps ship the Superwall SDK, and most of them start with one paywall. We need someone to show them everything else: experiments, onboarding flows, web2app funnels, win-backs and more. You'd be a great fit if you've actually built with Superwall and love talking shop with app teams. It's remote, and side projects are welcome and encouraged. To apply, email your resume and a short note about a paywall or experiment you're proud of to hiring@superwall.com, with the subject "[Your Name] | Account Manager". 📆 Toronto this Thursday, Berlin in November 🦝 Toronto, this Thursday, October 29 A small happy hour for about 20 founders and growth folks from Toronto's subscription app scene, from 7 to 9:30 PM ET (a half hour earlier than we said last week). Lanre's hosting. Request to join (https://lu.ma/sw-toronto-hh?utm_source=newsletter). 🐻 Superwall World Tour: last stop in Europe, November 12 Conference season is winding down, and Berlin is the final European stop on the Superwall World Tour this year. We'll be at Business of Apps Berlin, so grab time with the team (https://lu.ma/superwall-at-boa-berlin?utm_source=newsletter) if you're going. Catch Jake on stage with "From Ad to Paywall by Agents," then swing by Booth #18 for a quick paywall review and Berlin-only merch (yes, there's a bear sticker). On November 11, we're hosting an App Founders Dinner with Phiture: one table, the whole restaurant to ourselves. Seats are limited, so request your invite (https://lu.ma/sw-phiture-dinner?utm_source=newsletter). Bis bald, Berlin! ❤️ Superlove Finally, apparently App Week had a merch award, and we won it. Kyan (https://x.com/kyanbuilds/status/2112746278647939144) named our App Store Reject shirt the best merch of the week 🎉 If you've ever had a build bounced by App Review, you know why that one hits close to home. Thanks, Kyan 🫡 That's all for this week! As always, feel free to reply back and I'll be happy to help! - Jordan This landed in b-superwall-t9wvnq@mail.newslettersearchengine.com because you signed up for Superwall.
