Important updates to Productboard effective November 15, 2026

Dear Emre, 
 As we continue to evolve and improve Productboard, we are making the following changes to the platform and the associated AI Terms effective on November 15, 2026. 
 Addition of New Subprocessor: TypeSafe AI, Inc. 
 We are adding TypeSafe AI as a subprocessor. TypeSafe’s AI model handles classification tasks in Productboard, such as matching feedback to features and routing AI requests to the best-suited model. It does not generate content, and TypeSafe does not use your data to train or fine tune its models. 
 All third-party subprocessors are verified to meet or exceed Productboard’s security, privacy standards, and data processing terms. Per your Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Productboard, we are required to notify you 30 days prior to appointing new subprocessors. 
 AI Terms and Platform UI Update 
 In the previous version of our Productboard AI Terms in Section 4, we requested a license to AI Content for product development, quality monitoring, statistical analysis, and diagnostics. We have received many requests from customers to narrow this license. We have listened and take this feedback seriously, and so we are narrowing this license to remove “product development” entirely, as none of your AI Content was used or will be used in this manner. 
 Because the revised license to AI Content will be narrowly limited to its originally intended purpose of troubleshooting Spark, which is necessary to provide Spark reliably to customers, we are also removing the opt-out toggle from the platform settings. As always, none of this data will be used for AI model training or fine tuning. Those customers who have already opted out of this license altogether will still have their opt out honored. 
 Here is a summary of the changes that will become effective as of November 15, 2026: 
 - We are adding the following subprocessor: TypeSafe AI, Inc. (United States) for classification tasks, including feedback analysis and request routing. 
- Section 4 of the AI Terms updated to: “License to AI Content. Subject to Section 3 above, Customer hereby grants Productboard a limited, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, irrevocable, perpetual license to use AI Content for quality monitoring, statistical analysis, and diagnostics.” 
- Removal of the associated AI Evaluation opt out toggle in the settings.
