In getting familiar with one of Kenjo’s most valuable features, we’d like to introduce you to enabling attendance tracking for your employees. Attendance tracking widget Attendance tracking is enabled by default in Kenjo, but you will need to configure it for your company’s needs. Afterward, scroll down to the Home widgets section > My attendance and activate the feature by clicking the toggle. The Settings button will then appear. Once activated, the attendance widget will be visible on the home screen. Now you are ready to configure the settings. Click on SETTINGS and choose either “Manual entry” or “Punch clock” time entry methods. This is what your employees will see when clocking in on either their mobile devices or desktop computers. If “Manuel entry” is chosen, employees will need to manually input their check-in and check-out times, as well as break length. If you select punch clock, your employees must click the button to check in, out, or go for a break. Enabling Attendance tracking for your employees To enable this feature, you will need to visit their personal profiles by clicking the people icon in the left menu, selecting the team-member, and navigating to the Personal tab in the top navigation bar. Afterward, to the right, you may select “ENABLE ATTENDANCE TRACKING”. You can also activate this option when adding a new employee manually or filling out the import template. Work schedules In Kenjo, we understand that companies often have varying attendance tracking needs, which is why we offer several scheduling options. Kenjo offers set-ups for: - Company work schedules - Employee’s company work scheduling - Work scheduling templates - Employee’s work scheduling templates In the table below, the general characteristics of each type are explained. You may be asking yourself, can some employees have fixed weekly hours, while others have flexible working schedules? The short answer is yes, and that is exactly what you may set up using work schedule templates. These can be found by clicking the gear icon and navigating to: Settings(Gear icon) > Attendance > Settings > Work schedules Click on ADD WORK SCHEDULE and create a new template. Give your template a name, start date, your employee’s active work days, and the manner of expected hours per day. Note: For the “Fixed” work schedule, this allows you to define specific working hours based on a schedule per each selected working day. The “Flexible” work schedule defines the total of hours per each selected working day. Continue by toggling on any additional features you need associated with your work schedule. You may finish it up by finding and adding individual employees in the search bar below, or toggling on Include all employees (if your template is a match for everyone in your organization). After saving, you may opt to set your new work schedule template as the default setting for your organization, which would allocate your schedule to new and existing employees without one. Now that your schedule is set up, you'll be able to monitor your employee's attendance.
