We’re writing to let you know about some changes to Square’s Terms of Service, which will become effective on November 12, 2026.
Here are the key changes:
We’ve updated the General Terms of Service and Developer Terms of Service to clarify the procedures for opting out of arbitration.
We’ve updated the General Terms of Service to clarify that you are responsible for the actions of your employees, contractors, and authorized users, including with respect to the use of artificial intelligence (“AI”) tools.
We’ve also updated the Developer Terms of Service to clarify how we may verify your compliance with the Developer Terms of Service, restrict prohibited or unauthorized access to Developer Tools or Square Services, and address your use of AI with Square Developer Tools and their interactions with third party products.
We’ve updated our AI Terms of Service to describe agentic AI features.
We encourage you to review these updated terms in full, which will apply to you if you continue to use our products and services on and after November 12, 2026.
