Sheryl said, “I had a tenant in Florida who left a couch right in the middle of the living room, whereas the rest of the house was vacant. He told me he was moving it later that day, and as the rest of the house looked good, I gave him a check for his security deposit. When I came back the next day, the vinyl flooring where the couch had been was water-damaged. I learned the house has to be vacant to truly inspect for damage. Lesson learned 😒”
