Taplio Issue #7 The LinkedIn Weekly, by Taplio ● This week on LinkedIn ****************************************** Did someone just steal your LinkedIn post? ****************************************** Annika Bautista Annika Bautista ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/annika-bautista ), Taplio. I run every experiment in this newsletter on my own account or validate it from serially lurking on LinkedIn. Currently at 4,550 followers. Hey there, Copycats had a big week. Creators and audiences alike are fuming. Funnily enough, most people copying are unapologetic. They don't think they're stealing. They think they're just using a template. The 3 posts everyone's talking about Courtney Johnson's LinkedIn post: I was robbed. People think AI encourages copying. But it all depends on how you use it. You can use AI to copy not others but, well, to be yourself. In a world where anything can be copied, you're the only thing that stays original. Here's what I do: I thought-dump into Ask Taplio, the AI agent in Taplio, and let it filter. It scores my hooks and pushes them to be as original as possible, in my own tone of voice. The best part? It does all the research for me in the background, while I just focus on what I find most interesting. Try my prompt in Ask Taplio “Here's my thought dump for today's post: [paste it]. Give me 5 hooks in my tone of voice and flag any that sound like everyone else's.” Score my hooks in Ask Taplio ( https://taplio.com/ask-taplio?utm_source=customerio&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl_taplio ) Ask Taplio live session: 1 prompt, zero setup needed. Save my seat ( https://luma.com/fx0q0tay?utm_source=customerio ) Have you spotted this change? Did you know that your hook can actually have up to 5 lines? 👀 3 lines ...more The standard: standalone image, carousel and video posts. 4 to 5 lines ...more Text-only posts. A space after the fourth line keeps it to exactly 4. The hack: spaces shorten your hook If you just want 2 lines to be seen: add a space after the second line. And, if you just want 1 line: add four spaces after the first line. Trends on the algo → Pinned comments are back. Sara Stella Lattanzio's four ways to use them.
