( https://app.requesty.ai/analytics ) Your model will fail. Your users don't have to know. ---------------------------------------------------- Hi there Every provider rate-limits, times out, or throws a 500 eventually. The question is whether your users see it. A *routing policy* is the single highest-impact thing you can set up in Requesty, and it takes about a minute. In April 2026, requests routed through a managed fallback policy succeeded *99.25% of the time vs 85.01%* for direct callers, a 14-point reliability jump, and you delete your retry logic in the process. Pick the policy that fits, you set it up once in the dashboard: * *Fallback chain* : try models in order. If the first errors or times out, Requesty tries the next, automatically. * *Load balancing* : split traffic across models by percentage to spread load. * *Latency* : route each request to whichever model responds fastest. Once it's created, you reference it by name. No retry code, no changes when a provider goes down: response = client.chat.completions.create( model="policy/opus-with-fallback", messages=messages, ) Create your policy ( https://app.requesty.ai/routing-policies ) In the dashboard, go to *Routing Policies* and create a Fallback Chain. Step-by-step in the fallback policies guide ( https://docs.requesty.ai/features/fallback-policies ). Questions? Just reply, or reach us at thibault@requesty.ai ( thibault@requesty.ai ).
