One API key for everything? Time to split it up.

As you move toward production, running dev and prod through a single key gets risky fast. A *second API key* gives each environment its own budget, its own tracking, and its own safety limits, so a runaway test loop can never touch your production spend.

Set an *API limit* on each key and Requesty alerts you at 50%, 75%, and 90% of budget. Add a hard cap and it stops requests at the limit, a kill-switch that protects prod from a test gone wrong.

Create a key per environment, app, or teammate. Then tag requests to slice spend and latency exactly how you think about your product:
