Ask someone why they bought their new truck. You'll hear about towing capacity and gas mileage. Those reasons are real. But they usually showed up after the decision. The decision itself came from somewhere else. Maybe it was how it felt to drive it off the lot, or how they pictured it parked in the driveway. Most buying decisions work this way. Emotion first, logic second. But a lot of businesses sell in the opposite order. They lead with features, pricing tables, and "here's why we're great" before anyone cares. So what's the right order? Every time someone clicks your link, this is what's going on: - The emotional brain asks: "Does this solve my problem?" and "Can I trust this person?" - The logical brain shows up later: once they want it, it looks for reasons to justify the yes. Funnels work because they answer the emotional question first. They talk about the frustration, the desire, and the result you're after. Then they give the logical reasons to feel good about clicking buy. Most websites do it backwards. They put features and options in front of people before they care. And when the emotional side doesn't connect, people leave. This is just one of the psychological principles that make funnels convert. The post covers the rest, from why too many choices can stall a sale to the triggers that move people to a yes.
