Whatever you’re designing — app screens, websites, icon sets — layout is at the heart of it. Sketch has three key layout tools
worth learning about, so let’s go through them!

Frames are where interface design happens. Press F to insert one. A frame can represent a screen, a component or a section of a
layout. They can hold other layers, including other frames, which you can nest to build complex designs.

Graphics are for icons and illustrations. Press G to insert one. Unlike frames, they resize proportionally, so you can scale them
freely without distorting their contents.

Stacks are our take on auto layout. Select any frame and press ⌘L to give it a stack layout. Set the direction (horizontal or
vertical), the spacing, and the padding — when you add, remove, or adjust layers the stack reflows around them. You can even nest
stacks for more complex layouts.
