You may have seen the phrase “IoT connectivity infrastructure” floating around. Fair game if it’s not an image you can instantly pull from your head’s library. But here’s the general idea. Infrastructure is something you build on. It’s the entire layer that connects your device to the network, in your control: you decide what to build, how it behaves, and when it changes.

The most accessible analogy is probably roads. Roads take you from A to B. In your own vehicle, you pick the route, stop at any gas station; take the small road or the highway; drive economically – or uneconomically, if you’re in a rush. If you take the bus with the same from-to, you control nothing. Not the route, not the speed, not the stops. Most importantly perhaps, not the cost and not when you arrive.

We know many who asked for a preset path to fleet migration and it’s simply not offered. So Veikko Lindberg forged his own – and he didn’t have to invent anything. The parts were already there.

The consumer eSIM setup works perfectly for their devices. Before anyone – including us – screams “heresy,” give Maximilian Mayr 20 minutes. In the first ten minutes, he’ll make your head tilt with every slide. Around minute 15, you’ll be nodding in agreement. After the twenty minutes of his presentation, you’ll be asking him “but how exactly?”. From our first hand experience, he has all the answers. Peter Park found their own way to remote SIM provisioning, using the same tools at everyone else’s disposal.
