3 features you need for effective cross browser testing Hi Emre, At BrowserStack, we aim to provide every tool that you need for comprehensive cross browser testing. To this end, there are three features that might be particularly helpful in boosting your cross browser testing suite: 1. Change resolution Since different desktop devices often have different resolutions, it is important to test your website on these resolutions to ensure a perfect visual experience for end-users. Of course, you must test on multiple device resolution-browser combinations for maximum test coverage. How to use : While running any Live test on a desktop browser, simply change the resolution from the testing toolbar to test in other resolutions. 2. DevTools Developer tools help you find and fix issues in layouts and functionalities across browsers. For instance, if a button isn’t working or an image isn’t in the right place, these tools help you debug those issues. These tools are shipped along with the browser. If they aren’t, we install them. Note : BrowserStack also supports Mobile DevTools on Android and iOS devices. How to use : For desktop browsers, just right-click on your test website and select "Inspect". For supported mobile browsers, just select "DevTools" from the testing toolbar. 3. Bug Reporting In an Agile world, speed is everything. Hence whenever a bug is found, it needs to be reported to the team fast. Additionally, since different teams across organizations use different co-working tools, having multiple integrations while reporting a bug saves significant time. How to use : While running any Live test, whenever you find a bug, you can click on Report a Bug in the testing toolbar to directly report it (take a screenshot and add bug details). We support integrations with Jira, Trello, Github, and Slack. Want to try any of these features? Start a test Happy Testing! Regards, Sagar Bajaj Still have questions? Get a demo .
