Hi Emre, To help you get the most out of Benchling, we’ve compiled a list of the Benchling team’s five favorite tips and tricks. 1. Run calculations within and across tables in the Notebook. Insert tables directly into your Notebook. Calculate master mix recipes within individual tables or across multiple tables. 2. Visualize file attachments, from sequences to images, alongside your notes. Drag and drop attachments into your Notebook entries. Visualize plasmid maps, gel images, figures, microscopy data — you name it. 3. Link your Notebook to the Benchling calendar with date inserts. Insert a "New day" into your Notebook entries for each day you perform experiments. These dates will link your entries to your Benchling calendar to help you plan, organize, and find your research. 4. Simplify note-taking with entry templates. Create Notebook entry templates for protocols and experiments that you're performing over and over again, and capture data consistently every time. 5. Create links between Benchling files by @-mentioning entries and sequences in your Notebook. Reference any Benchling file in a Notebook entry by typing "@" followed by the Benchling file name. When you click the "Metadata" tab of your entry, you'll see all of your linked files under "Relevant items."
