And we're delighted to share an honor we're proud of, a not-to-be-missed event, and several trade shows where you can come meet our team. Read on for all the details below. Enjoy the read, and welcome back ✨ Product updates --------------- *Landscape mode on mobile* Mobile updates: more comfort every day -------------------------------------- This month, the TimeTonic mobile app, on iOS and Android, gains several improvements designed for your fieldwork. - **Landscape mode:** your records and views can now also display in landscape orientation, for better readability in the field. *Useful, for example, during a QHSE audit in a machine room: review your inspection checklist on a more comfortable screen width.* - **Tablet mode:** the interface now adapts to tablets, with a display optimized to make the most of the available space. *Ideal for your technicians during an on-site visit: the site plan and the input forms are visible at the same time.* - **Regular expression fix:** input validation using regex is now correctly applied, for more reliable forms. *A field requiring a specific equipment or ID number format will now reject any non-compliant entry, directly from the field.* - **"Save" button on records:**autosave is now replaced by a dedicated save button, so you stay in control of when your changes are saved. *Handy, for example, during a site audit: you can save your entries as you go and only confirm the save that triggers report generation once your entry is truly complete.* - **Home screen shortcuts:** a long press on a shortcut now lets you add it to your phone's home screen. *Ideal for quick access to expense entry, or for adding a new contact on the spot at a trade show.* - **SmartText field editing:**previously read-only, SmartText fields can now be edited. You can change their content and format it (bold, italics, etc.). *Ideal for writing and formatting the minutes of your toolbox talks, site visits, and audits.* Update your app to take advantage of these new features. Web updates: strengthened data security --------------------------------------- - **Tagging your sensitive data and application safeguards to protect your outbound syncs** You can now flag sensitive fields containing personal data (subject to GDPR) or confidential information. In addition, during your automatic syncs to an SFTP server or to Metabase, fields you've specifically tagged as "GDPR-sensitive / confidential," as well as email, phone, attachment, SmartText, comment, and modification history fields, are now excluded by default. *This way, only the data that's truly necessary leaves TimeTonic, with lower GDPR-related risk, less risk of unintentionally sharing information, and better performance for your dashboards, which now process less data. You can of course still add back, field by field, any you want to include in your exports regardless.* - **Authentication required by default** Attachment and external form fields now have the "Authentication required" option checked by default when created. *As a reminder, when this option is checked, only valid TimeTonic users with authorized access to the views containing these fields can access them. You can of course uncheck it whenever you need to share information with employees, partners, clients, or suppliers who don't have a TimeTonic account.* - **Strengthened security measures for Metabase dashboards** The Metabase reporting solution is accessible again following the rollout of enhanced security measures: a web application firewall (WAF), IP allowlisting for administrator accounts, and public URL sharing now blocked. *These measures ensure that the reports from your Metabase instances are only accessible from workspaces belonging to your company account.
