Inviting others to Basecamp

There are two primary ways to invite co-workers, colleagues, contractors, clients, or anyone else to your Basecamp account.<br>1. You can invite them to a specific project, from that project. This is a good fit if you just want them to have access to one thing right now.<br>2. You can invite them to the account, and then select which projects they should have access to. This is a good fit if you want to invite them to many projects at once.<br><br><br>To invite someone to a specific project, go to that project. Click the people/invite link in the top left corner of the project.<br><br>[Invite people (or see a list of who's already on the project).]<br>From there you’ll see a list of everyone who’s already on the project on the left. Then, on the right, you’ll see a line where you can add people. You can type their name, and if they’re already in the system you can pick them. If this is the first project with you, you can enter their email to invite them. Inviting them via email will just give them access to this one project. You can add them to more later if you want.<br><br>[Invite people over on the right.]<br>To invite someone to the account itself, and give them access to multiple projects at once, click Home in the top left corner, then click “Adminland” in the buttons on the left. Note you’ll need admin access to do this. If you aren’t an admin, you won’t see the button.<br><br>[Head to Adminland to invite people to multiple projects at once.]<br>From there, you'll see an option to invite or manage people under the "You’re an admin, so you can…" heading.<br><br>From there, fill out the simple form (you can click “+” to invite multiple people at once), and follow the directions after that. It’s all very quick and simple, and they’ll get an email with a link to join your account. You can also add a personal note to the invitation.<br><br>And that’s there!
